A Fly in My Ointment

March 22, 2016-March 23, 2016 – There was a fly flying around my face. I swatted at it. Then it flew into the bottom right corner of my right eye. I tried to hold my eye open and pluck it out, but it was really stuck in there. I went at it again … I was so close. I was about to go at it once more – I was pretty sure I had it this time.

March 27, 2016-March 28, 2016 – I was going to see Batman v. Superman with Rob. I was in the theatre by myself for much of the beginning. There was a sequence with Superman, and a sequence with Batman that was entirely unrelated. Then there was a scene with a woman in the hospital. Her family gathered around her. The woman was in the bed, and her family members were standing and posing. It looked like they were about to break out into a set piece. All the women looked the same. I realized that this was the introduction of Wonder Woman.

March 13, 2016-March 14, 2016 – I was sitting on the living room couch. My dad walked in and sat on the other side. I said that I thought Monmouth should have made it into the March Madness field this year and that there should be a rule that there should be no at-large teams with fewer than 20 wins. Dad seemed to agree. He said something like, “Yeah, Monmouth went 3-4 in that tournament,” and then he continued on.

March 9, 2016-March 10, 2016 – I was trying to get something done, with a few people, when a black cat walked by and stayed there, and that stopped us dead in our tracks. Later, I was with a different group of people, somewhere else, and the black cat showed up again. Later, I was by myself, reading something important, and the black cat was there again, walking along a piano.

February 24, 2016-February 25, 2016 – I had to write a review of the season finale of The X-Files. I was going to mention how I had just watched one of the best episodes of the series, “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space.” I was going to discuss how that episode set an example for how to utilize so many elements of the show that the finale should have followed, in terms of mythology, etc.
