True Movie Theatre Detective

June 22, 2014-June 23, 2014 – Woody Harrelson was going to be working at the movie theatre.  It was actually him, not his True Detective character, but he was going to be like Marty.  Tom the maintenance guy was apprehensive about this.

Lana Del Ride

June 22, 2014-June 23, 2014 – I was driving home from work.  There was a new Lana del Rey song playing.  The only way to describe it was “pure chamber pop.”  There was still a little bit of it left as I pulled into the driveway, behind another car.

Strongly Held Opinions

February 15, 2012-February 16, 2012 – I was on the Saturday-Night-Live.com message boards.  There was a thread for a poll on the best of the current season so far.  The topics covered included best sketches, best Weekend Update segments, etc.  I was about to submit my picks.  Obviously, Get in the Cage (with the real Nicolas Cage) was going to be number one for Update segment.

November 15, 2012-November 16, 2012 – I was in a situation that was like the end of the movie The Possession.  I was with a group of people in the main room of a house.  It looked like my grandmother’s family room.  There was someone from our group holed up in another room who was possessed.  One of us went to go check on him.  Then two more girls went to check as well.  Zach Galifianakis said, “Why are they closing the door when they go through?”  Then the rest of us went through, and we tried, with difficulty, to keep the door open.

Distaff Rolling Stone

August 9, 2013-August 10, 2013 – I was reading the movie reviews in Rolling Stone.  There were four in this issue.  Three of them were designed around the main review, which was White House Down.  That got 2.5 stars.  The review wasn’t as enthusiastic as I expected from Travers.  Also it didn’t really sound like his writing.  Then I discovered that it was a female reviewer.  Then I looked at the lower-right corner, expecting to see that Travers was on vacation.  But instead there was a bio of the female reviewer.  It looked like Travers had left RS.

Here! Cut.

December 8, 2013-December 9, 2013 – I was at a barbershop in Chelsea (Manhattan).  I was standing, waiting to be seated.  It looked like the guy who was going to cut me was the same guy who had cut me before.

A Dream I’m Thankful For

November 25, 2014-November 26, 2014 –  There were some Rifftrax Live events taking place at the theatre I work at.  As in, the people doing the riffing were actually in the theatre.  The riffers weren’t the MST3K people, but instead special guests.  For the first two, the riffers were the only ones in the theatre.  For the third one, the riffers were Siskel and Ebert.  I went to the entrance to let them in.  I stood at one of the doors on the right and waited for them as they walked up from the parking lot (even though the building was open).  They were having an animated conversation.  We had to clean the theatre that they were going to be riffing in.  The last show in there was a Divergent movie.  It was letting out now.  The crowd was entirely teenage girls.  We were going to have a bit of a crowd joining Siskel and Ebert.  I was going to sit next to them.  But then I was called out to take care of something in the lobby.  When I got back, it looked like we were in the theatre next to the one we had been in.  Siskel and Ebert were sitting in the middle.  There was a small crowd in the front and some people in the back.  It looked like I was still going to be able to sit next to them.  At some point Jennifer Lawrence was walking by, headed to the Rifftrax theatre.
