Archive for June, 2014

June 29, 2014-June 30, 2014 – I was reading news that most of the casts of The Daily Show and SNL were going to switch shows.  On the website where I was reading this, the cast listings momentarily disappeared and then came back different, reflecting the switches.  Now, The Daily Show would have 14 cast members and SNL 7.  This had me excited for the new SNL season.  But I was concerned about one thing: Beck Bennett was now going to be on TDS, while Kyle Mooney would be remaining on SNL.  I wondered how this was going to affect the Good Neighbor videos.

June 22, 2014-June 23, 2014 – I was outside on the street about a mile from my house.  I was watching this episode of TV that I was right next to or within.  It involved this guy walking through this space that was probably underneath a house.  It wasn’t as claustrophobic as it could have been.  There was almost enough room to stand up straight.  I was with this guy as he was making his way through.  I seemed to be in charge of guiding him along.  My cousin Dennis was nearby.  As the guy made his way through, there were several references to Mystery Science Theater 3000, mostly The Final Sacrifice. I walked back towards my house and watched this episode again. This time, it was clear that the guy in the crawl space was played by Seth Rogen, and it was a much tighter fit.  It was uncomfortably claustrophobic.  Then I was watching a new episode of Community. This was the actual Season 5 finale. In retrospect, it seemed clear that what I originally thought was the finale hadn’t actually been advertised as such. This episode was more clearly the finale. It ended with Annie and Jeff talking, and then it quickly cut to Annie waking up in bed. There was someone asleep next to her, and the obvious implication was that it was Jeff. There was also a suggestion that there was a crossover with 30 Rock at play, because it was mentioned that Alec Baldwin was returning to the show. The tag was Alison Brie as herself talking directly to the camera against a plain white background. It lasted a minute and a half, but it felt shorter. There were two or three episodes total since the original supposed finale. None of them aired on NBC; each aired on a different channel.  I was still out on the street while watching.

AP Schedule-making

February 11, 2013-February 12, 2013 – It was the end of senior year of high school again.  It was time for AP tests.  At one point, I thought that I didn’t have any AP classes this year since I had studied abroad the first semester (but that wasn’t right).  The first test I had was AP English.  Then I went back to class.  I didn’t recognize any of the other people taking this test.  I went back to the testing room to make sure that I had taken the right AP English.  It was Comp & Lit – that was the correct one.  Then I thought about it again a little later, and I thought this test may have been the junior year AP English class.  I wasn’t sure.  I looked at the rest of my AP test schedule.  My next test wasn’t for at least a week.

July 20, 2013-July 21, 2013 – There was a movie that I had just seen, and I was wondering if it was going to be on the How Did This Get Made? podcast.  I was checking the HDTGM? library, and indeed such an episode had just been posted.  This may have actually been a good movie, not a bad one.

November 9, 2013-November 10, 2013 – I left my room without my key card.  I realized it at the moment I needed to head back.  While back standing in my room, I realized that it had been in my pocket the whole time.

June 10, 2014-June 11, 2014 – I was watching a new episode of Arrow.  There was voice-over narration from Felicity.  She was telling the story of her life.  She was recounting how she grew up in England with her parents and what that experience was like.  In the present day, she was attending a funeral.  In the voice-over, she was talking about how she felt about what was currently going on in her life.  She arrived at the funeral in a black car with Oliver (and presumably Diggle).  She was walking ahead of them.  The cemetery field was flooded about two inches high.  After walking about 10 feet, Felicity turned around to look at and wait for Oliver.

Death at a Funeral?

November 11, 2009-November 12, 2009 – I was at my grandmother’s funeral, or at least that’s what seemed to be going on, as much of my dad’s side of the family was there.  But for some reason, it seemed like she wasn’t actually dead or that this just wasn’t her funeral.  I was hanging out with my uncle.
