Archive for August, 2013

January 20, 2013-January 21, 2013 – My mom had a lacrosse game on in the family room.  She told Dad that it was Cardinal Dougherty vs. Princeton.  I wondered why a high school team would have been playing Princeton, so I thought it might have been something else.  I couldn’t tell if it was boys’ or girls’ lacrosse. I was pretty sure that it was girls, so I was thinking that the team that Mom said was Dougherty must have actually been an all-girls school.  Then I went out to watch it in the living room.  Dad came out there as well.  This seemed to be a game from 2010.  I was pretty sure that Loyola had made it to the NCAA tournament that year, so this matchup wasn’t making sense to me.

April 27, 2012-April 28, 2012 – I was watching an episode of MST3K that I had never seen before.  Mike was in this one.  At first, I wasn’t feeling it.  But then, maybe about twenty minutes in, during a sequence of driving on a dirt road on a sunny day, the riffing was just spot-on, and I was laughing non-stop.

Soda

November 20, 2011-November 21, 2011 – I was watching a morning talk show.  One of the guests was some sort of expert, an expert on the topic of sex, I guess.  She was discussing a new method of masturbation that was supposed to work really well.  You were supposed to take a soda can that had an extra covering over all but a little vertical portion.  Then you would peel that covering off.  Then you would make yourself flaccid.  Then you would be able to use any visual stimulant available to make yourself go off.  I was still in my bedroom while watching this.  I tried this method once.  Later, I was trying it again, while still in the bedroom.

April 7, 2013-April 8, 2013 – I was in the back right corner of a small theatre.  It was in an episode of Mad Men.  Don was there with Megan.  After the initial bit, Megan was up on stage, performing standup.  At one point, Don wandered in front of the stage and then all the way around the theatre back to his seat.  He didn’t seem to know where he was.

Casual Sex?

January 10, 2013-January 11, 2013 – I was out somewhere.  My sister suggested that we leave, and I agreed.  Before I made my way out, I ended up in the box office at the movie theatre I work at.  A co-worker of mine was there, as was Alison Brie.  Things seemed to be really good between me and her.  I was wondering if we should have sex.  But I was worried about a potential pregnancy if we had unprotected sex.

April 17, 2012-April 18, 2012 – I was watching The Vampire Diaries.  Elena was with Stefan and Damon and possibly one other person in the woods.  Elena was bitten by someone (probably Damon), and then everyone dispersed.  Elena and Damon ended up on the ground together on the edge of the woods.  I was there, talking Elena down, trying to prevent her from doing anything, i.e., bit someone, etc.  I kept trying to get her to focus.  She was very out of it and having trouble concentrating on anything.  It seemed like Damon was also trying to help, but I believed that we should be suspicious of anything he was trying to do.

Window Dressing

November 14, 2011-November 15, 2011 – I was in an office on a floor many stories up.  My brother and dad were there as well.  There was someone standing outside the window on a window-washing platform.  Then someone else took his place there.  It was someone recognizable.  He was goofing around, putting on a show.  He wandered to the edge and almost fell over.  Such a steep fall was very frightening to consider.  It didn’t look like there was anything he was connected to that would prevent him from falling.  Then, as he walked around some more, I could see a wire on his back that was connected to the platform.

Foreboding

July 23, 2013-July 24, 2013 – I was watching the season premiere of Community, which was apparently on in the fall, or even late summer, and not midseason.  The episode seemed to be focusing on Shirley.  It was rather slow-moving.  Not much had happened a little more than halfway through.  My sister walked in around this point and caused a bit of a distraction.  After the episode was over, I was in my room on my computer.  I was thinking of what I was going to say in my review.  I wasn’t too sure what to say, seeing as I hadn’t been able to fully pay attention the whole time.  But then I realized that I would re-watch it, as usual.  I really felt disappointed.  It was low-key, but there wasn’t much to it.  I was missing Parks and Rec right now.  It was about 8:43.  I figured I would catch Parks when I caught it, just like all the other shows on tonight.

January 16, 2011-January 17, 2011 – I was playing Dance Central.  I was scrolling through the menus, using the controller, which was plugged in, not wireless.  I was picking a song to dance to.  I scrolled past a song that I didn’t recognize.  I went back to it and looked at it closely.  It looked interesting.  Then I picked a song I liked that I didn’t realize was in the game.  I put the controller on the floor.  I decided to hereafter use my hands to scroll through the menus.

Blood on the Tracks

November 9, 2009-November 10, 2009 – I was watching a hockey game, or it was just footage of something taking place at a hockey rink.  There was a story being announced about a woman who had been hit by a car while hanging around railroad tracks.  After the story had been told once quickly, the announcer started to tell it again in more detail.  As he was getting into the story, I started to think that the woman who had been hit was Yvette Nicole Brown.  I could see someone who looked like her in the front row of the crowd.  Then the camera got closer, and I figured that it must be her, as she was sitting with Joel McHale and the rest of her costars.  Then the camera showed some guy on the rink who was probably the guy who had been driving.  He looked like Greg Oden.  I thought that the accident must have been the driver’s fault, but then the announcer got to describing the actions of the woman.  She was drunk, and she was staggering around the tracks.  She foolishly remained staggering around the tracks.  He kept going on and on about how she was moving back and forth along the tracks.
