September 20, 2011-September 21, 2011 – I was watching the season premiere of SNL.  It started with an announcement of the cast members, instead of the cold open.  This opening montage featured a still photo of each cast member in the middle of the screen against a background of lights that looked like sped-up traffic.  Kenan was the first one announced.  Then there was a short opening sketch, which was barely an opening sketch.  Alec Baldwin, the night’s host, was in the opening.  At the end of the opening, nobody said, “Live from New York…” – it instead cut to the montage.  Kenan was again the first cast member announced.  After the montage, Amy Poehler introduced Maroon 5, who then performed.  Amy remained on the main stage during the performance.  It turned out that Amy was romantically involved with Adam Levine.  This didn’t make sense to me, because, last I heard, she was still married to Will Arnett.  I was wondering why Maroon 5 were performing, since Radiohead were the musical guest.  Then I saw some indication that Amy wasn’t actually involved with Adam Levine and that she was still married to Will Arnett.  But, ultimately it wasn’t clear either way.

May 6, 2011-May 7, 2011 – I was watching a Celebrity Jeopardy! SNL sketch that did not feature Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery, but Darrell was playing somebody.  He was in the middle spot.  I didn’t really notice until the end that there had been no Sean Connery.  I had always noted Sean Connery had appeared in every Celebrity Jeopardy! sketch from the fourth one onward, but this changed things.  I had thought of him as appearing in so many Celebrity Jeopardy! sketches in a row, but now here was one episode that would break that streak.

“Love and Anxiety”

December 3, 2010-December 4, 2010 – I was working in the box office at the movie theatre.  A girl came up and asked for a ticket to “Love and Anxiety.”  I was pretty sure that she meant How Do You Know?, so I told her that it wasn’t playing.  But then I thought she might have meant Love and Other Drugs.  So I was about to check with her to see what she meant.

May 26, 2010-May 27, 2010 – I was thinking about the past season of SNL.  I was considering how this season had featured one, and only one, Celebrity Jeopardy sketch.  But then I thought back to the Joseph Gordon-Levitt episode and I remembered that that one had also featured Celebrity Jeopardy.  JGL had played French Stewart.  Then I was trying to wrap my head around what happened in Shutter Island.  It was taking place in my grandmother’s yard as I was envisioning it.  The main crazy girl was standing in the backyard, right outside the porch.  Then she ran around the house. While she did this, there was a mess of colors (mostly red and black) flying around onscreen that I guess was meant to represent foliage.  When she made it back around, nothing appeared to have happened.  I noticed a group of people (possibly relatives) in conversation over by the garden.  I walked over to see what was going on.

The Soap Opera Class

January 19, 2010-January 20, 2010 – I was in a class about soap operas.  The “classroom” area looked to be outside around a pool, but it also looked like a computer lab.  Our professor was going through some spiel.  We each had to pick one soap opera for a project.  After the prof finished tallking, I raised my hand to ask if nighttime soaps were acceptable.  I had Desperate Housewives in mind.  I wasn’t sure if that was the show I wanted to use, but I still wanted to check if it was okay.  I had my hand up for a while before I was answered.  The prof kept walking around, taking care of other matters.  Finally, he walked around to me, and I asked my question.  (I think I was sitting next to a friend who had been on hand to notice how much I had been ignored up to this point.)  He said something about how Desperate Housewives wasn’t really a soap, but he didn’t say whether or not nighttime soaps in general were acceptable.  He walked off to take care of other matters.  Meanwhile, there was some guy walking with a pointed finger that he was using like a penis, or an erect penis that he was using like a finger.

November 29, 2008-November 30, 2008 – I was driving a car with Joshua Jakcson, John Noble, and Anna Torv (as their Fringe characters).  There was some guy driving right behind us.  They told me to speed up and get in front of the car that was in front of us.  So I did, but then a cop car flashed its lights and pulled us over.  I got out of the car.  I was surrounded by a bunch of people (some of whom were definitely cops, the others – I’m not so sure).  I explained to them that we were being tailgated and that we had to get ahead.  Then the group of people (led by Samuel L. Jackson) took me to this building where all this secret stuff seemed to be going on.  It seemed to be the Massive Dynamic buidling.  I had to talk to Sam Jackson.  I saw him walk into an office.  I went up to the door and waited for him to come out.
