SNL Lady Politics

November 13, 2010-November 14, 2010 – I was watching a show in which the ladies of SNL were interviewing the political ladies whom they had done impressions of.  Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were interviewing Sarah Palin and someone else (Christine O’Donnell?).  Meanwhile, in the room on top, Kristen Wiig was interviewing Christine O’Donnell.

April 14, 2010-April 15, 2010 – I was standing around somewhere.  Three men made an entrance one by one.  Each was someone I knew or someone famous.  I forgot who the first two were, but the third was Michael Jordan.

Many Times More Than a Trillion

December 15, 2009-December 16, 2009 –  I was with some people.  We were looking at this number that had a 1 and several 0’s.  It appeared to be 1,000 times more than a trillion.  I counted all the commas to make sure, and it looked like that was correct.  Then I checked again and it appeared that it was actually 1,000,000 times more than a trillion.

Mr. Burns and the Magical Soup

June 2, 2009-June 3, 2009 – I was watching an episode of The Simpsons.  Someone – Mr. Burns, I think – had made a soup that made people do whatever they were told whenever they drank it.  Homer had gotten a hold of the soup and had put together a scheme with the help of Mr. Burns.  There was a long line of Simpsons characters waiting to get a sip of the soup.  Standing in front of them as they got to the soup was a statue of Jesus, which told each of them to do something after each had some soup.  Mr. Burns was telling Homer to pay attention, and then the scene cut to the soup line.  The soup was in a very large bowl; it was red with a hint of orange, hot, and bubbling.  Nelson drank some soup, looked at the Jesus statue, and then said, “Aww, do I have to?”  Jesus said, “Christopher, you’ve done this and you’ve done that, now I’m asking you to dig a hole.”  So Nelson started burrowing through the huge dirt mound that was right there.  Then Homer walked over to where the action was.  There was a list of all the people there on a big piece of parchment.  Homer had to put a checkmark next to his name.  There were several Homer Simpson’s listed, including Homer “Dinkle James Jeffrey” Simpson and Homer “I Am America” Simpson.  Homer was going to put a check next to the former, but then Marge showed up to make sure that Homer put a check next to Homer J. Simpson.

September 26, 2008-September 27, 2008 – I was watching SNL.  It was the first sketch after the monologue.  There were a bunch of people (maybe 5 or 6) sitting around.  It was written by Cornel West, so it had something to do with racial sensitivity.  One person (a black guy?) got up and left in the beginning of the sketch.  Basically, the sketch worked by going around the circle and each person saying a line.  I was anticipating some really good lines.  Jimmy Fallon was in the sketch, which I thought made sense, because I think he was going to be guest-starring in a later sketch.  Then van Halen’s version of “Dancing in the Street” started playing.
