December 11, 2009-December 12, 2009 – Brenton and I were watching a football game.  A field goal from about midfield was being attempted.  Brenton started telling me how one of the most nihilistic moments of 1984 was a scene in which someone was kicking a field goal.  What made it so nihilistic was that the kicker ran really fast towards the ball as he was about to kick it and that it was a rather long attempt.  It was as though nothing else mattered while he was kicking.  I didn’t remember this part from when I read 1984.

May 26, 2009-May 27, 2009 – I had invited some guy (who seemed to be a composite of a few guys I knew) over for dinner.  I had also set up some people to be there as the Lump (a.k.a. Maroon) family from All That, as a joke.  So I was pouring the guy a glass of wine.  My hand jerked suddenly, and I spilled some on his arm.  Then I decided that I didn’t want us to have this wine now, since it was the wine that I wanted to take home from Australia.  So I suggested that we have the other wine that I had instead.  The guy seemed a little confused but said, “Okay.”  I was also trying to explain that the wine spill was just an accident.  Then the guy got up and asked if anyone else wanted a wine glass, as his was the only one out.  Lori Beth Denberg, who was there as the mom of the Lump (really Maroon) family, pointed to my bookshelf, where the other members of the Lump family supposedly were, and said that they didn’t want any.  Then the guy went to get some more glasses.  Then I went to the bathroom.  I didn’t close the main door because I figured it was far enough away from the toilet entrance.  I also didn’t close the door to the toilet.

Brothers/Cops

July 24, 2007-July 25, 2007 – My brother Rob became a cop.  I followed in his footsteps and became one, too.  We ran into our cousins Dennis and Chris while on patrol.  They were also doing something together.  I was walking through the streets, and I ran into Chris.  We lay down on the side of some vehicle that was sitting on the street and started riding it away.

The Risqué Holiday

January 10, 2007-January 11, 2007 – I was watching The Holiday.  It was a scene with Jude Law and Cameron Diaz.  They jumped into a pool, and as they were swimming around, a woman gasped, in expectation of something risqué.  Jude and Cameron then threw their clothes up out of the pool while they were underwater, and it was fairly obvious what was going on.  Later, they were walking around somewhere, but it wasn’t Cameron anymore, but Kate Winslet instead.

Staryucks

March 15, 2011-March 16, 2011 – I had ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich from Starbucks.  I was walking through the backyard.  I sat down to eat the sandwich.  Dad was out there also.  I bit into the sandwich.  It was really rough.  The egg was really hard to chew through.
