February 21, 2011-February 22, 2011 – I was standing in front of a faucet.  A bunch of water had built up on the counter behind the sink.  I reached over to push it out of the way.  It was going to take a bit of an effort to clean it up.  Then I realized that there was something going on with Sean Penn.  Then it cut to a scene with Farley and Spade.  Farley asked Spade if that last scene confirmed that he was fat.  The answer seemed to be yes.  We were in the kitchen at the movie theatre.

September 12, 2010-September 13, 2010 – There was a (graduation?) party at my house.  Jason and Brenton had both made it over.  I was somewhat surprised that Brenton had made the trip.  At one point, I was outside, as were most of the partygoers, but I didn’t know where Brenton was.  Jason was in the pool.  I went inside to look for Brenton.  I couldn’t find him anywhere.  It was almost as if he was never even there in the first place.

March 20, 2010-March 21, 2010 – I ran across the street and found myself at a street corner.  A couple of retrospective shows on the same subject were about to air.  One of them was going to be on NPR, the other on TV.  I could hear the announcer for NPR – it was Garrison Keillor – running through the show’s lineup.  He finished up with, “… coming up on All Things Considered.”  I knew Garrison was on NPR, but I didn’t think he was the usual host of All Things Considered.  I noted in my head that I would have to ask Aunt Peg if “Keillor” had one or two l’s before I wrote this dream down.  A group of four boxers – including Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield – arrived for the show.  There was a problem.  A musician who was also supposed to be featured in the show was refusing to show up because Tyson was here.  He was apparently afraid of Tyson.  I didn’t think Tyson was too dangerous.  Besides, Evander Holyfield was here.

November 24, 2009-November 25, 2009 – I was in a workshop for writing class.  I had written a story that was, in a way, a take-off of Star Trek.  I had characters based on Spock, Kirk, Dr. McCoy, and Uhura.  The Spock character was named Eli, and he was the protagonist.  There was another element to the story that was not Star Trek-related.  The Star Trek portion was layered into the story as a whole.  While my workshopping teammates were critiquing my story, they said that they noticed the Star Trek elements.  So, I ran through my characters, explaining which ST character each was based on.  One girl in my group said, “Yeah, I knew the one character was based on Bones McCoy because he was a doctor.”  Off to the side of the class table, there was a bit of a party going on.  There were a few people sitting on a couch in front of a TV.  There was a Guitar Hero controller resting next to the TV.  I was about to get some GH playing started.

May 4, 2009-May 5, 2009 – I had just set up this toll stop in this little curve in the road.  The toll was 75 cents.  The first two cars drove by and paid the toll just fine.  The next car drove outside the boundary of the curve, but then stopped, came back in, and paid the toll.  One of the next cars paid the toll but needed change.  So I had to grab the toll stop arm, catch up to the car, and give the driver change.  Meanwhile, there was another car that had stopped in front of where the toll arm had been, waiting to be able to pay the toll.  Eventually I finished giving the change and brought the toll arm back.

August 10, 2008-August 11, 2008 – I was feeling this weird physical sensation.  I couldn’t identify what it was.  Mom asked me if it felt warm or something like that and told me that it probably wasn’t what I thought it was.  I couldn’t tell if it was pain, if I had to go to the bathroom, or if it was an orgasm.

July 1, 2007-July 2, 2007 – I arrived at the movie theatre and got a pass to see the new Predator.  It was playing in Theatre 12.  I walked out of the bathroom, around the doorman, and into the lobby.  I now had my work uniform on.  Some guy said to me, “Your name?”  I said, “What’s my name?”  He didn’t respond.  Then, raising my voice slightly, I said, “Are you asking me what my name is?”  He said, “Yes.”  I did have my name tag on.  Then he told me that there were some guys outside smoking a joint.  He led me outside.  There were a whole bunch of people there, almost all of them smoking.  He pointed to the guys he thought had the joint.  Then he started talking to a policeman about them, and I walked back in.  I walked past door as the doorman ripped a ticket that said “Medicines.”  I realized that that ticket was for the Pink Panther movie.  Then I looked up at the LCD movie screen.  There were several new movies up there.  In Theatre 4 was Hilary, which was a documentary about Hilary Clinton.  I wondered what movies we had lost to accommodate all these new ones, so I decided I would look at the schedule in the projection booth to find out.  There were six or seven black spots on the LCD screen, which I assumed were for Transformers.

Manila Envelope-ball

December 8, 2006-December 9, 2006 – I was playing a game that was sort of like handball, but instead of a ball, there was a manila envelope.  You had to pass the envelope to someone on your team, and if it hit the ground, then you lost possession.  You couldn’t move if you had the envelope.  The point of the game was to throw the envelope between a pair of cones that were on the ground at either end of the field.  My team was Rob, some guy, and myself, and the other team was Phyllis Lo Duca and two other people.  It was the middle of the game, I suppose, when I threw the envelope to the other guy.  He couldn’t quite hold on, and it just barely touched the ground.  So we lost possession.  Then Phyllis had the envelope.  She took out the papers inside it and looked at the questions on them.  They were questions about people’s love lives, which was different from what the questions were before.  This line of questioning pleased Phyllis.  Then I had the envelope.  I was reading the questions as I walked closer to our cone goal, unimpeded.  I was about five feet away from the cones when I threw the envelope.  It sailed through easily.  I screamed, “Yes!”  and fell on the ground triumphantly.  But Phyllis and the one guy on my team were continuing to play.

February 19, 2011-February 20, 2011 – I was looking at a series of pictures in a couple of rows.  They were marked with a pair or triplet of words.  They were grouped as they were so as to illustrate the course of evolution.  One of the last pictures was marked as the U.S. and Finland.  (GM) Rob (Schwartz) said, “That makes sense,” as there was some important guy from Finland.  Rob told me that the Finn was in the closet by the men’s room.  I walked over from the concession stand to the closet.  I found the guy, but I didn’t really do anything when I found him.  Then I walked back to take care of something else.

September 11, 2010-September 12, 2010 – I was watching United 93.  There was an entire group of terrorists sitting in the back row – five on one side of the aisle, and two on the other.  I think they were dressed in traditional Muslim garb.  At one point, everything went still and it looked like they were about to strike.  They got up, pulled out their bayonets, pointed them at the people in front of them, and fired.  A few seconds later, they fired again, in the same fashion.  The people who were going to fight back were sitting in the front.  They were getting ready to strike with their own guns.
