Being Russell Brand

April 3, 2009-April 4, 2009 – I was at home.  I had been able to leave Australia really early, in April.  I was hanging out in the family room, planning on going to Best Buy (or somewhere) soon to pick up an XBox.  There was something going on with Rob.  He was also hanging out in the family room.  He was supposed to be going somewhere (New York, I think), but for some reason, he wasn’t able to.  Mom was walking in and about.  Then the VMA’s were on.  There was a big group of people presenting all at the same time, including Russell Brand, who really did not fit in with everyone else in the group.  I figured that he was there because he was in the next Twilight movie, so I was going to have him go off-script and jokingly plug that movie.  I ultimately toned it down a bit and had him say (or said as him), “The only reason I’m up here is because I’m in the next Twilight movie, ” and he gestured to what was behind him.  I captured his British accent really well, and the audience laughed.  Then he got on a train, as all of the other presenters who came before him did also.  (This train was going where Rob had been trying to go, maybe.)  It seemed like the other presenters after Russell might not make it onto the train in time.

March Madness: Now on VH1

June 27, 2008-June 28, 2008 – I was watching March Madness with Dad, but I didn’t catch the results of all the games.  The next morning, I went out into the porch and started watching VH1.  I was about to change the channel to put the basketball on.  But then coverage came on VH1, and the day’s matchups were being run through.  Then I was looking at our brackets to check off everyone’s scores.

June 9, 2007-June 10, 2007 – I was watching a movie in which some ghostly presence was haunting this town, particularly one family.  At the end, the youngest boy in the family ran out of the house, which was consumed by a fiery form of the presence.

October 5, 2006-October 6, 2006 – Rob was reading a letter, and then I looked at it, but it was hard to read, because it was written with hamburger meat.

August 31, 2010-September 1, 2010 – I was watching Jonah Hex.  It was the final act or right before the final act.  Jonah had ended up in the office of someone in the government.  He was fighting with one of his enemies.  They were at each other’s throats, rolling around on the floor.  It was turning out to be as strange as advertised.  I could barely make sense of it.

Hugs and Muffins

October 12, 2009-October 13, 2009 – I was on a train, or a bus, or something that resembled a train or a bus, with a bunch of other people.  We were competing in this contest in which we had to hug people in different ways and also look for four muffins.  Each one of us had four specific muffins to find; the first one to find all four would win.  There was some concern that some of the hugging techniques might be ethnically offensive.  I found two of my muffins pretty quickly, but the prospects for finding the other two did not seem too bright.  At one point, the train came to an abrupt stop.  We all bent down and looked under the seats.  I unexpectedly found another one of my muffins.  There was another muffin there as well, but I checked the bottom of the wrapper and realized that it wasn’t my muffin.
